Following all the information on 16v heads just looking for information on the New 2.0L 16V FSI Head and their designs. has anybody got any photo's and information on them and will they fit various VW blocks. http://forums.fourtitude.com/showthread.php?4444993/page2 i've found photo's on the inlet ports but nothing on the exhaust ports. http://www.eurospecsport.com/products/components/standard-rebuilt-heads.htm
would be interesting to see the design and flow rates, Friend of mine did a head gasket on one and said the Head was a very good design (probabley Compared to 051 & 027) so could this be the way forward to get 290bhp from a 2.0L 16V NASP Engine
Good thread idea. Working off VW engine blocks, EA827 => EA 113 => EA888 AFAIK EA113 designation was ABF onwards and includes Mk5 Ed 30 engine. Tallblocks all? So theoretically there is scope for those to fit. Good thread to start digging here also: http://www.clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=193256
From what I read on other forum The FSI head is the way forward Would love to see some pics to Or brian to butcher it ........ For studying purpose off course
can you not just use the whole engine as it is rather than using a 20 year old block? has anyone remapped teh FSI properly yet?
Off course Just a remake of texas chainsaw massacre but academicely Loved your previous work would be tempted to do the same on an oettinger head to see it more in depth but only have one and a good one so looking forward to see your next victim
i started a tread on vwvortex 2 years ago ``axw head flow numbers`` there are 2 heads for the 1st generation FSI engines , N.A and a Turbo looking on the inlet ports they are the same ,the N.A more radius under the valve and the turbo head with a more straight port the exhaust side on the N.A have 4x 3 bolt pattern , Turbo head 8 bolt pattern a new manifold was made together with a german company for Single TB`s or DCOE type TBs or with a plate to make a plenum for turbo applications For EFI and /or FSI injection full race cams are available from catcams solid lifter and shims underneath
The SBD 305BHP DURATEC has 36mm inlet valves and 31.5mm exhaust my mate has a BRM Head on his 2.1L 16v with 34mm / 31.5mm but can only achieve 256bhp nasp due to the head design of the 027 . and we cannot get hold of any E85 Fuel which would have got us to that figure. so it would be very interesting to see if the FSI Head is the future solution to 16v NASP power .
yes, its a very good head info i recieved on the TFSI head from INA Engineering / Issam abed flow @28`` Intake stock ported with +1mm valves 100 70 72 200 140 136 300 183 200 400 209 247 500 214 279 Exhaust stock ported with +1 mm valves 100 77 57 200 103 138 300 163 177 400 170 195 std inlet valves 33,85mm / exhaust 28 mm Ferrea +1mm valves ( also springs, retainers, spring seats, shims ) Supertec STD size valves , springs retainers, etc... Some good results there. Do you have any measurements of the entry section of the inlet tracts? Just width and height would do. I'm just trying to figure what the port velocities would be like compared to 027 / 051 heads
