made 155bhp as far as i can remember, must have been a hot day or something, as it definitely felt good, better than the numbers suggest

Comparing the output of GVK at 6100 rpm, mine was pretty high at 6900 then!

Bugger, being colourblind always has a down side!! :p
Although if the result is that you are gaining a little more through the mid range, and power stays on that little longer then it cannot be a bad thing, seeing that it costs a damn site less than a pair of cams!

was that on a standered 1800 gvk?can't quite make the graph out to many line out all the way but it looks an alriht mod.... Still putting out 155bhp.... I'm guess thats with a stealth tune up as well.

you can't directly compare them as they are on different days, different tyre pressures etc

my mk2 recorded 158bhp on vinces rollers, and Chrisps 155, but chris' car felt faster than mine, i can replot and mail the grahs for posting if anyone would like to host it

Isn't the dual exhaust cam thingy supposed to be only good for 1800 engines?

anyone care to explain any reason as to why this would make sense?

personally i think it's urban myth.

Maybe its cos the 1800s have less lowdown torque,so you notice it more?? Thats a guess by the way ;)

Chris said it made his 1800 a lot smoother, and as it made it pull harder lower down,he didn't notice it 'come on cam' at 4k.

Sure would like to see GVK's dyno run as well and I have spare exhaust cam that I could convert as well.
