I dont understand how an 8v can only 'feel' more torquey compared to a 16v. I am essentially comparing a 2.0 16v Corrado to a 2.0 8v mk2. I love the way the mk2 accelerates or is that just more 'feeling' and not real torque?

its do do with the area under the torque curve and the shape of it... low down grunt and a flat torque curve give the shove in the back feeling

Dan i am sickened by that comment :o

As the founder/starter of the ultimate 8v thread i am hurt about the beating we are taking for just showing some Appropriation for the Ultimate 8V under rated GTI engine [8(]

I here call a vote for the (8AS)

A:do we keep Dan/Danster in let him off for his drunken comment?

B: Kick him out with the i love more valves lot?

And just remember you 16v lots the GTI' Started as 8V

Do not hide aways if you love or have and 8V show your colours

Or if you name is Danster hide in shame

    Poll now added!

Votes names are given, so you can exclude out any 'More Valve' voters

I need another post from Danster to give him a chance to fight his corner before I make my mind up on the Poll.

I dont know very much about torque curves etc.. but I love the shove in the back 'feeling' my 8v gives me, initial take off also feels better than the VR6 converted mk2 I have, not sure if this is more 'feeling' though

The corrado being 25-30% heavier might be something to do with it too.

    Evening all. [:$]
That is the last time I accept a parcel containing beer from Chris Eyre! He must have spiked it or something.[xx(]

Not entirely sure what was going on last night, so I thought I would put up some of my work as "redemption pics".

    Last weeks efforts.

Lies! Damn lies, and a big smokescreen!

Beer is owed this way, so there's no reason for me to send beer north of the Border!
