ambrose no it ain't got a pit but it is about 9+ foot high where the RSJ is & i don't need a hoist as i can use Paul Haslam's (trackcab16v) mobile engine crane [8D] .

No prob's about the floor paint Velly (the fumes from that brake cleaner was [xx(] mind).

Hi Mike, I am in the process of seeing if i will need planning, and your thread has been very helpful. One question i have is since you have built it , is their anything that you would change or wish you had done ?

    cheers Allan

 pmsl..... best post in a long time [:D] .

Probably a bit more lighting, a pit would have been nice though i managed without it.

Nothing else really as i am not massively mechanically minded so what i have had has done it's purpose well.

Possibly have put a small door alongside the shutter but that could just make another place to break in (not that it has happened).

Not the same size sadly but pics of my semi-detached garage being built at our new house:

I went for a side door as well this time

    Measures about 19 x 9 inside

How it stands at the moment

Should look like the neighbours here

You should of put the grass on the roof :p

Or maybe sink the whole garden down then build the garage the whole length of your garden , to the level of your grass you are watering , then turf the top so you'd have a mega garage and hidden so you'd walk ontop of the roof , sure it would be 10k's later ,Joe
