german plates

had mine on since june, driven past many a police car, had several behind me in traffic....not been pulled!

 

think it depends on ur area, drove home from e38 with them fitted and had around five police cars in target range and one by the side of me in a service station with no bother....

i get home and about a month on i get cautioned, after many others have passed with no problems.

 

hey, sorry i know this is a bit of a crap question but did you lot buy the german seals and plakettes?

 

got pulled over last week with black and silver on the front and a yellow german plate on back. got pulled as the same filth saw me a few days ago and the black plate caught his eye. Got a producer and 30 fine, first time got caught as well. put proper ones on for a week, then washed my car at weekend and put them straight back on. this time with a white german plate at the front.. He did say persistant offenders could have their Reg deleted by the DVLA and and be issued with a Q plate. Bit harsh !!

DarrynK do you carry standard plates so when you get pulled you simply change them ? And avoid a ticket ? Where in Scotland are you ?

 

my standard plates have a VW ghosting on them and not kite marked, but i usually get away with it - only been fined 3 times.

i'm in airdrie now, was from sandyhills.

 

got my plates today, look nice. was driving past local police station and a patrol car pulled out behind me. i watched them in my mirror and they seemed to be very interested in the plate at the back (white front, yellow back). i was expecting to be pulled over but they never bothered.which was nice.they look cool so im prepared to pay a fine if the worst comes to the worst

Theres so many polska plates driving around my area i dont think the police even bother.

do you get any points or anything from having the german plate or is it just a fine, points i wouldnt want, but if its just a fine then .... its well worth it

 

pretty sure it would only be a 30 fine, unless you were caught by the same copper over and over again.

well all the coppers in Poole / Bournemouth tend to be around turlin moor or southborne ... just stay away form there then
