That's pretty epic right there Edd... lovely shell and great to see all the wee clips proper retainer etc - you will be well pleased with that when done.... fit and forget type parts and prep!
The old loom I sorted 4 years back ...twas a good job but want to redo it, put ECU in car etc Tape removed so I can see what I'm doing Sourced new cable to move battery into car With fuse link Something missing
Enjoyed reading through this and all the detailled photos, keep up the good work !! It's almost like watching a how a Golf Mk2 is built, if they were hand built instead of production line :-)
What should have been finished has been put onto the back burner due to demanding wife Sad times .....life used to be so good The old engines sitting idle two years now
Take your time no need to rush it, when this is finished I can see it picking up pretty much every show and shine award possible! Astounding attention to detail! a re sprayed mk2 in red is perfect
Airbox time Foam is falling to bits and I hate things not right, so had to come apart Think most look something like this now Best to split to remove flaps Old foam removed and found some new foam from mk4 golf door panel speaker blanks All cleaned and good to go, just going to get more foam tomorrow
Airbox now done bit slow but wasn't happy with the foam I had and getting the right stuff took longer than I thought Old foam bits I had as can be seen on the flap to the top right ...was a cut and shut job New foam below Flaps all sorted Reassembled and clipped Happy with that Ready to fit
