Yours for a few quid shy of 1000...

Great if you already have a bonkers engine with about 230+ bhp and are looking for something to make a lil bit more.

Would you be able to tell the difference (on a 200bhp +/- 15bhp motor) between these and the much cheaper Jenveys plus a row of curved sections?

Definately a thing of beauty though

I need one of those in my life! Surprised at the low redline considering the lightness of the reciprocating parts, but Its still 'awesome'!

The last incarnation of this one was 315bhp @ 8,250rpm with 290bhp@ 7,500rpm. Nearly 14:1 compression, runs on the edge of detonation.

I've put some info on the BTCC thread.

Nice. There were some more pics of that engine that i'm trying to find with no luck...yet! This engine was for sale 2 years ago if i remember right but when i contacted the seller it was already sold so he didn't gave me any details. I remember though that there were a few pics that showed '54C' on the cylinder head that implies a gtir head which is solid lifter and not a SR20 head. SR20 one is '58Y' and is hydraulic. Also the rocker cover is kinda shorter than the SR20 item.

A lad I know had an ex touring car Nissan engine. It was destined for a Darrian, but he then went Millington diamond, then Honda S2000.
I could ask if he still has any bits. The flywheels were like saucers iirc.
Another lad up here had a complete ex touring car Nissan Primera. The engine sat so low I had to double take when I walked by it in the pits. I thought they were in the middle of dropping it out or something, but it just sits that low. You can see this by the gearbox output flanges to the driveshafts.
Nissan were reckoned to be the most powerful of the touring cars from what I heard.
There was an old vid on here somewhere about the Vauxhalls being very quick because they had such a good midrange though. Had a young James Thompson in it I think. Probably buried earlier in this thread.

I recall a pic that the flywheel was showed as well and indeed was very thin and full of holes. I will find and post them

VW Cup MK2 and Corrado both KR around 190bhp and flat torque curves from 3000rpm apparently. Running jenvey's and homebrew mani's.

The engines were built in the UK, using some parts supplied by Mike Callaghan Motorsport.

Interestingly, when I last saw these at Brands, Sept 10, the first one pictured had an 027 103 373 head and the second had an 051 103 373 head.
