    Update

Started work sorting out the old 16v loom now, a few items that need to stay Oil Pressure warning signal, Rev Counter, Starter motor etc.

Also got a couple of RamAir filters to fit, they needed a bit of attention from the Stanley knife to fit them with the nice big Trumpets :)

Think the bonnet really needs to Jigsaw attention.

One thing for sure it's starting to look like a complete engine now.

Just waiting for new Oil cooler pipe to finish the plumbing, and then its all Electrical from then on.

Also lowered the T4 today with 55mm Jamex Springs.

Barrowed the ramp at my local garage to make it easier, it only took 1 hour to do it all.

Big Decision to make i think now, do i get shorter Trumpets and sacrifice torque to get better air flow into the trumpets with cutting the Bonnet ?

This is a big one i think [:?:]

My mate Paul Bargate used to run 90mm Trumpets with the Weber Alpha throttle bodies with a crap inlet manifold and still got 215BHP

Or my other option is run two Maps

Map 1 with 120mm Trumpets and Race Bonnet for Events .

    and

MAP 2 with 90mm trumpets and Original Bonnet for road use.

Microsquirt ECU & Fuel pump Relay mounted in the Scuttle Tray.

Loom routed through the bulkhead, i will fit a blind grommet after its all complete, coil pack to be fitted to the bulkhead once a bracket has been made.

Injectors & Water temp sensor connected
    [IMG]

The engine bay looks alot better now all the old loom has gone.

The Grill has be drilled for extra air flow to the Oil cooler the holes will disapear soon and the complete slot will be taken out.

Only item left are the crank position sensor to mount and the wiring final connections the throttle position tail is too short so that will need extending

Also sorted the T4 out it was running lean at top end and found that the one of Fuel pipe blead pipes was leaking slightly, reconnected it and sorted the leak and the T4 is now runnning like a dream. [:D]

Team Green keeping the Colour Theme, running on cooking Oil and keeping it Green cheap as chips and smells like a KFC Chicken Zinger.

    Crank position fitting

Eurospeed bracket for the crank sensor, but as seen in the pictures it requires a 50mm spacer making to get it lined up on the 36 - 1 5.75" toothed wheel, the bracket will be ready for tomorrow, Also requires 75MM bolts .

made two types of spacer this one and one made from 10mm steel bar in 5 layers but it needed abit of filing to get it in so will stick with this for now.

Also fitted the coil in position.

and finally MK1 back on all 4 wheels after 3 months on the stands.

Good work bud - looks like you've been hard at it.

Will the bonnet not fit with the trumpets if you remove some of the webbing, or perhaps put some spacers on the hinges to lift the back up a bit?

I keep telling Dale he needs to do the same as you to his front grill as there is sod all air flow to his cone filter currently.

Looking forward to seeing (and hearing) it on track again soon:thumbup:

    Cheers Dan

think they will just fit with the webbing cross section removed, i have a spare bonnett which is going to get a sunroof cut out for the trumpets for next weeks mapping.

Just collected it 40 Cash for it blasting and Powder coating [:D]
