Been @ Mtechautomotive all day getting the MK1 Mapped upto 4k to get it run in also the trigger wheel needs repositioning to get a better signal over 4k.

Ditched the Microsquirt as it won't run wothout MAP and not running a MAP Sensor on Throttle bodies and the softaware won't let you change to Alpha N, so ok for Turbio engines but not mine.

    Fitted their Mtech Megasquirt V3.

The bad new is i'm stuck on the A46 Near Bath the the clutch has just gone on the T4 b***ard 212miles from home .c

looks like along nite home in an AA Wagon.

    upate -

arrived home this morning @ 4.30am

drove the MK1 off the trailer i bet the neighbours loved that sounded at 4am !!

so need to get the T4 Clutch sorted

MK1 needs some minor work and them a final map doing once the Crank sensor is working correctly.

The new Mtech Megasquirt V3 ECU is alot better than the Microsquirt so i'm running Megasquirt 1 software the loom had to be modified to suit but alot of items needs attention i.e. grounds for the sensor etc.

One thing i learned alot yesterday from the visit to Mtechautomotive they lads their are very very helpful and they seem to get alot of vehicles that other tuners have failed to get running

Revised Trigger Wheel and crank sensor set up nearly complete.

Also has a new piece of Ally made for the Crank Bracket, and also got a piece of 70mm dia x 20mm deep Alloy spacer on its way for the Pulley to get a solid mount from the centre section.

New trigger wheel c/w 20mm Alloy spacer ready for fitting tomorrow, could do with a new KR Pulley rather than removing the existing trigger wheel.

Think i need to spend some time this week and get the MK1 Finished been very busy with the T4 and going to show's this month.

The T4 has now got the full internal camper conversion, it sits abit low due to the weight on the internal conversion, but looks good i think.

Back from a trip to France in the T4 and now making Progress at Last on the MK1 !!

Fitted standard springs back on the T4 due to the extra weight of the conversion and for towing, the T4 did 1400miles , with a slight issue of some dirty veg oil blocking the filter but diesel was 88p per litre in France so filled it up and that cleared the issue.

Managed to fit the new trigger wheel and Crank Sensor, much better fit.

Also added two additional 50mm vent holes in the front bumper for the Radiator Air flow.

Need to get the laptop plugged in and run through everything.

Plugged the laptop in and try and find he problem but No success with the USB/Serial adaptor communicating with the Megasquirt.

Question, when the ignition is on should the leds on the megasquirt be lit ?

i know one LED is for crank signal so that won't be lit. [8(]

so no spark and no LED's lit and my Multi meter is at work so will have to wait till tomorrow.

just looking at getting some additional power from my 2.4D AAB Engine in my T4 Transporter without having to pull the engine out and fit a 2.5TDI Unit.

    Current spec -

2.4D AAB 77BHP Unit Indirect injection.

Due to the Bosch mechanical Diesel injection i'm sure the addition fuelling will be straight forward.

Just looking at what part list i will require.

    2.5TDI Exhaust manifold c/w Turbo
Ancilliaries for the turbo oil lines.
    Boost pipes
    Intercooler
    Exhaust down pipe

and info or advise would be appreciated.
