The cage is from rollcentre, it was a lot of work to fit but i think it was worth it.
Comes to your door like this, happy grinding :p
A m8 rang them last week and there is a 7 week wait at the mo.

You can buy the Nuespeeds on the own but the Eibachs come as a pair, im going to try a std front with the 28mm rear i will keep you posted on how it works.
The suspension is Leda coilovers with rose jointed rear lowers and Sorg solid front top mounts, had the dampers made to my own spec as for the springs it something i will play with over time.

What are the ledas like? Im not sure what to go for on mine, Ledas, avo mono tube, bilstein ect any thaughts?

what brakes do you run? pedal box looks interesting!

    Cheers again,
    Rob

Yeah the S/D cage would be an easy fix ;), it took 2 of use about 30 hours to get that cage in mine.

I have heard good and bad things about Ledas, most of the bad comments seem to come from people that use them in heavy applications like rally x etc, all i can say is they seem to work very well at the mo and there back up is first class. I was looking at the race KW's but rang them 3 times and no one rang back so if there like that when you want to buy i would hate to deal with them if a unit went wrong.
Brakes are Hispec monster 4's with 310x32 mm discs, they seem to do the job.

Graeme, the new mods look excellent. Cant wait to see it round the track later in the year.

Hope you dont get busted for noise any more!!?? ;)

To think that this car was built for shows intially, is merely a thought from the past. Its certainly come a long, long way since its mag feature days!!

I would think the weight of the car is about the same as last year as the cage is about 55kgs, but what with the seam welded shell and the cage + the new suspension bits i was faster first time out than i have ever gone before

Yeah still use it on the road as much as i can, but i do trailer it to the track now.

Used the STD loom for the lights etc and got a loom made up to fit in the car for the MBE management.

Booked the VW Driver day yesterday so i should be there.

Great car Graham. If only every car was as nice as yours. It really is amazing seeing it go round the track, making Subarus and stuff look slow  Wanna let me have a go, just so you can see how awesome it looks driving around? ;)

Steve Carrols old mk1 was my favourite ever, soyou just need to paint your orange Graham and you'll have just about pipped it! colour aside (not that it isn't a nice colour, I just prefer orange to blue), the spec and quality of workmanship is just fantastic, much respect

That's absolutely fantastic. Must be nice to have an engine bay like that.

Probably the best track car I've seen. :)
