no going back now-ive started my 20vt mk2

    Was using the OEM management and clocks not an option [:s]

    Yes had we been able to source keys, and were prepared to install the mk5 clocks. However attempts to source the keys proved a major headache, and ultimately fruitless, so the standalone route was taken.

    Anyhow, time to end this thread....... with a short video.

    Great to see it finally done

    I'm just about to embark on mine, :)

    The rear engine mount the passat item you used what part number was it?

    357 199 354, if what I've got written down is correct.

    Corrado G60 / 9a 16v / Passat 16v rear bracket.

    how did you sort out the engine loom??? aftermarket or join into original loom???

    Standalone system - needs switched power, connection to fuel pump relay, and connection to the rev counter via a box of tricks that converts the digital output of the MBE ecu to a coil emulating one.

    I essence we tore out the k-jet engine wiring, and replaced with the MBE.

    excellent what a top job i wish i had the patience to do that with the mk1.
