Just ordered my Vibratechnics front engine mount and Eibach ARBs from Stealth. Spoke to John and asked him about the Passat Rad & Fans and he seems to think that they are the same as the Corrado. So i might be in luck yet. Will try to fit them first!!

So the only thing i need now is a G60 brake set up or a set of VR6 carriers. I had considered converting to 5 stud, but this means id have to sell my porsche adapters and means more hassle really.

So much conflicting advice and stories. People say yes, people say no.

Just re-read some of the Futrell article, and in the closing stages of it he states that the Passat Subframe and Rad couldnt be used.

Ahhh! My head hurts now. Gonna have to have a chat with Vince on saturday.

I started writing that before your post Andy [:$] It wasnt a direct response! :p

    Edit:-

However, you can check out a 1994 Passat VR6 rear subframe for me if you like? I left my ETKA at my flat. Is it the same/similar as the Mk3 one?

Dont worry, just spoke to ChrisP. The Passat subframe wont work. Need to buy a Mk3 VR6 subframe now.

Apparently the Passat VR6 runs Mk2 "style" wishbones and hubs, but the subframe is not compatible.

    Edit:-

And the Rad and Fans will not physically fit.

The same reason as a passat front ARB wont fit, they are physically different. If you look at a passat wishbone, the hole to get to the front-most subframe bolt is in a different place, should give a hint right?

Or a Corrado VR subframe. That Futrells article is good though Deako, you obviously learned something else by re reading it ;)

I plan to use everything i have. Not spend a stupid amount of money getting a carb setup thats unreliable working on a car that i then wont be able to sell afterwards.
