Nope, the 1.6 has a "heron" head and so is only (easily) compatible with the 1.6 block. Saying that, you could use any Golf/Scirocco 1.8 K-Jet head on a 2.0 block and it would all pretty much slot in. (The 2.0 would have to be a "small block", ie. Audi 3A)
so if thats the case then I may aswell 16valve it and use the 1.6 in my golf! thats of course if i even get it!!
got any plans for it Claypole?? Are parts such as strut braces etc. lowering springs same as per mk1 golf???
Plans... That'll be sort the drive and build a garage after getting some central heating and a rewire. Next plan is to finish stripping the GLS in my sig to send to Malaysia then strip the other Corrado I have for bits for the one in my sig and to sell on Ebay.
I think I've got the scirocco bug though I can't wait to have a good luck at the black one tomorrow!!!
