As all I ever seem to watch is films on TV / DVD and the odd DVD of tv series etc.I always like to make sure I watch something worthwhile as far as films go so let me hear of your reviews of the last film you watched.
    Marks out of ten please......

    Already posted on here but....

    Sexy Beast.

Good gangster film with an excellent ,if not somewhat different, performance from Ben Kingsley.A bit Guy Ritchie in some parts but that`s not a bad thing when it pulls it off well.
All in a good film but my only gripe was it was a bit short and could have easily went for another half an hour to make it good.

    7/10

Borrowed some DVDs and just watched American Beauty tonight. OK-ish, strange ending. Do you think Kevin Spacey is a paedophile?

Other than that, just been watching a collection of the Morse DVDs - class. I prefer English stuff, don't have a problem with following the accents

Unn interesting. Storyline was a little lacking but the CGI was ace.

Casino: Great Scorsese film! I think Goodfella`s has the edge over it tho! I enjoyed Goodfella`s alittle more! but both well worth watching if you like mob/gangsta type films :)

Bourne Supremacy. On DVD, 'cos my girlfriend remembered liking it at the cinema.

Surprisingly good, intelligent action film. Well paced, closes with a
top notch car chase, definitely stood up to a second viewing, partly
due to the very sharp editing and visual style.

Matt Damon occasionally looks a bit of a chump, but is largely believable. Not when he runs though, he looks a bit 'special'.

    (2005, Director : Nick Love)

A good movie, not great, but worth a watch when it's released on DVD.
By the same director of "Goodbye Charlie Bright" and "The Football
Factory". Has great sound track and wardrobe that will take you right
back to the middle of the 80's. Funny in parts, violent in others... a
    good british gangster movie.

    7/10.

(Bears Top Tip :: If I were you, I'd give Green Street the wide one. Angry Hobbits don't work. Very poor - a generous 4/10)

    Last DVD:- 21 Grams

Opinion:- One of the slowest films and most jumbled ive ever seen. If you are going to jumble the story of a film about then at least make it mildly interesting like Pulp Fiction. This didnt work.

The acting was pretty hammy too, the film never seemed to go anywhere. At various points i was hoping a nuke was going to wipe the bland characters out.

    Rating:- 1/10

    ----------------------------------------------

Last Cinema:- The Dukes of Hazard

Opinion:- Thought the characters represented their TV show counterparts quite well apart from Boss Hogg. Burt reynolds was far too mean and fearsome, as were the coppers. Uncle Jessie used to give Boss Hogg a good telling off on the TV show, but they all lived in fear of him in the movie.

Acting was ok, car scenes were great. Gotta love the sound of a V8. Good fun.

    Rating:- 7/10

    -------------------------------------

Next films im most looking forward to:-

    Revolver
    &
    Land of the Dead

Rubbish. Really really rubbish. Almost a word for word remake of Mean Machine, and nothing like as funny.

1/10, and that is being generous.

Motorcycle Diaries - 8/10 - a young Che Guevara travels round South America to 'find himself'. A bit rose tinted but a good watch.

Delicatessen - 11/10 - surreal black comedy. Post holocaust landscape where meat is scarce and people are nervous. A young girl falls for an ex circus clown and meets an army of vegetarian frogmen who live in the sewers. French with subtitles.

Stella Street, The Movie - 10/10 - Bed wettingly hilarious
