Fantastic to see people rallying around those affected. Continued well-wishes and hopes for the future to the Reeves.
Tough times, for sure as the post event melee settles down and the area returns to 'normal'. It's a massive headache, and with the site literally flattened, nothing will move quickly as there's too many choices to make, not least Croydon council initiatives which could play a part etc etc.
Not fast Golfs but a continuation of this thread. There is a riots aftermath TV programme tomorrow night for those who may be interested to see it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b018cst8
I work in Croydon for the Railway and the riots kicked off from 3.30pm onwards. We had to shut some of the depots incase of arson!! This has cost us tax payers millions for all the riots. Even though the govements are saying the rioters they catch will pay it back, it call comes out of our tax money end of the day anyway.
blood boils still when you see the results of the feral scum who did this. tool who was photo'd lighting the fire apptly still denies it - assume the benefit cheques still getting through to his brood.....
Just watching the programme now, I know a lot of people on here know the chap, and i've got to say watching this I have a lot of admiration for the man
Just watched the Reeves on tv outside court: 11.6 yrs for the arsonist who set fire to the store..... He lived by the store & knew how historical it was too.
