if you struggle to get a even finish....bust the bottle open and empty it into a dish and then use a small kitchen sponge to wipe it on

I used the morrisons Black shoe stuff, Don't no the name but its in the sqeezy bottle and has the sponge on the end, like the expensive stuff, its 85p and for me it worked great, after 2 coats the whole car is black and looks really good, Don't no why it hasn't worked for some as it worked great for me..

just came here to recommend this, and well, seen a thread already here!

i on the hand am a cheapskate! , and used asda's own for 86p a bottle, put 1 coat on my EXTREAMELY grey front bumper and its now black, i think its time to throw out all this back to black rubbish!

also tried the "lick the finger and rub the bumper" technique and it didnt seem to come off either!

here's the asda stuff incase anyone is having problems finding the kiwi stuff, i cant say if this is better than the kiwi stuff or not, but it works never the less :)

I've tried that stuff a couple of times an can't get it to look decent and even-looks well patchy! [:s] Tried the Maguiars stuff and it looks good at first, but goes streaky if it rains soon after. Using Autoglym at the mo.

i've always used turtle wax back to blak its absolute sh**E does not last more then 2 weeks and when i wash the car it all goes patchy and nasty. this forever black sounds brilliant and theres some on ebay how long does it really last for and should i mask off the red stripes or will they be fine? and what happens if it goes on the paint? i Think i might try the heat gun thing got 2 bumpers in my back garden.

i just tried the forever black tyre kitt, its a thick gel compared to liquid in the bumper dye kit, it comes with a nice square applicator pad thats ideal for big bumpers n arches and because its thicker it covers well and goes on more even

OIL3808 it washes off paint before its dry , you will need to mask it off if you apply neatly

..Mate of mine gave me some Linseed Oil when having a car cleaning Sunday - smooth black bumpers all round, and lasted throughout the Winter. In fact, it's still looking great now..3 months on! Not sure where you can buy it...poss craft shops..but DEF worth a go..

The shoe polish that comes in a bottle with a sponge on top is the best stuff, If you want a less effort job then just dust them over with satin black spray paint use light coats and they will look new again for years.
