I love the small bumpers, makes the car look so much lighter, and I also love the 16v chin spoiler. I am also toying with the idea of fitting G60 arches(albeit trimming where needed to fit the bumpers) with the obligatory smaller side strips and deeper side skirts. What do you reckon swi01?
For the BBS's try link not allowed germany, but still it'll be difficult to find someone willing to ship them to you.

Thanks for the compliment Paul!

I built the car because I like the look of it and that's all that matters, each to their own.

seems like quite heated debate going on here!

when i bought doris, i wasnt looking for either big or small bumber, i just wanted a solid tidy mk 2 8 valve and bought my '88 one on that basis. just began to think that it actually looks quite cool with the small bumpers and red trim - especially the front splitter (real 8o's man!). rekon theres something so right about the way the back looks as well with the small bumper. anyone know what i mean here or am i speaking pooe?

only thing i dont like tho is the way the skirts look too high from the side profile (this was rectified with some beefy ones on the post '90 models) although this could be sorted with some shorter bongy bits. anyone else got a clue how to source some bbs splitties that wont cost a fortune?

also can anyone help me with my jolting problem? (posted in technical queries)

I like the little bumpers on my '89 driver, though i do think that big bumpers look nice on GTI's as they look good next to the plastic wheel arches.

By the way, how did you get the Pirrellis lookin so good in the three pic you put up?
