my mk2 has been dropped 80mm and is running on 15 x 8" rims shod with 195/45/15 toyo proxes and it handles like a skateboard albeit a very sticky one!!! i replaced the whole set when i bought the car as i had a blow out on the motorway at speed after picking the car up when i bought it. as andy947 said tho they dont looked so stretched that i dont feel confident driving it. oh and i live in london! Recardos right low is a no go round here!!

if you run 195/50s on an 7 inch rim with an et of 35 you will get
rubbing on lock on the front arches still(at the 10 o'clock
position)with the above pictured mods if lowered more than 80mm. you'll
also get rubbing over bumps on the rear with the above wheel/tyre spec
if you lower it over 80mm.

as i've got this at the moment!

FK Konigsports at the max lowering setting, with the above mods, no rubbing probs, other than 'just' catching the arch trim on lock and on compression.

Could easy sort that though :)
