If I'm right, they are the leads that allow you to connect your cars diagnostic port to a comp with VAG COM. There was a post on the old forum about all this.

yeah, theres two types of diagnostics leads. pre '96 are obd1, and post are obd2.

on the old forum '1990' said he may be able to get leads for 56 in a group buy, but they were obd2 (although you just need an adapter for obd1).

I'd be interested in a group buy for that price. I was going to make my own and with the cost of all the parts it'll come close to that price.

Where was he planning to get them from?

BTW, for those who don't know what they look like, check this site. (now you can see why I'm interested in a group buy!!)

    http://www.andywhittaker.com/

He'll do you an ISO interface (which works with VAG-COM cause I have a registered copy) for 35 sheets and then all you have to do is get a 1 to 1 FEMALE to FEMALE RS232 cable made up and yer cookin. $99 after that then gets yer license for vag-com. [:D]

I did a group buy with the guys at Cister last year but there were so few takers we didn't get the biggest available discount.

Approach Rob or Nilesh and they will send you any details for a group buy.

    Hi Phil_TDI?

Any chance of a humungous massive life changing favour?;) Do you know what any of the 10 basic settings fields reffer to for Digifant II as fitted to the MKIII GTi, software code release less than 1350? I've worked out some of them out but I'm still unsure of some... I'm workin on a label file for Vag-Com so it would be a real help.

This is what I have for the basic settings so far -

    000,0,BASIC SETTINGS
    000,1,Intake Air Temp,70...160=4.5...72C
    000,2,Battery Voltage,115...161 =12..16.5V
    000,3,Coolant Temperature,90...0=0...110 C
    000,4,Engine Load,25...53 =9.75...19.5 % ??????
    000,5,O2 Voltage,0...55 =0.00...1.10V
    000,6,?O2?,???
    000,7,??????,000...128?????????
    000,8,Throttle Angle,68...239=0...84
    000,9,Injector Period,2...4 =2...4ms
    000,10,RPM,200...240=770...870/m
