    Well the 35 one looks pretty bodgy, has no connector for the car (thats an extra 8.50) and isnt cased. This is the 49 one from SK Pang

    Looks a lot better for not much more cash.

    i have took a print out and will take it in when i can and ask one of the other lads if i cant figure it out, no promises tho :( ,


    what programme is everyone one using on their laptops with the leads? is it exactly the same as the VAG setup?

    need to know,

    Sorry mate - the laptop is back for repair until next week - thank god for warranties! - but I have the leads + software if anyone else can bring a laptop...?

    PS: donor laptop must have serial port/rs232...

    so the orignal question, anyone know info on making OBD II to a OBD I converter,

    or the wiring connection, most us counld knock one up,as vag com will understand these as well

    You can get them from here

    I've got some diagrams at home, I'll take a look at the schematics for the connections. You could make your own but it would probably work out at a similar price after you've bought the plugs and lead etc.

    This is why I'm buying my version now, rather than making one myself.

    so far cost me 30-35 to get bits, when i make little money of it, then i'll go to the twin-hex, which mine won't do :(but i won't get many of the later cars for a while
    40 for the adaptor, i could sort something [:-B]

    is the software used on your laptops the same as the VAG software?

    I don't think so. As far as I know most people are using this software.
