There seems to be enough interest to do a group buy. Anyone interested?

I'd potentially be interested in a GB :)

Sparrow - where did you get the compbrake flip kit bits from? I had a look on their website and couldn't find them.

I thought I got them from Rally Design, but I can't find them on there now. I'll try to remember to have a look tonight for the invoice

ETA: Nope, looks like I bought direct

Ah, not what I had been looking for in that case. I was after the inserts that you press in once the taper has been drilled out.

I know ourtech sell them, and they come with the series1 kit.

Which seller/manufacturer was it specifically that were mentioned to be avoided? May have been from the other thread, but they were never named directly?

Good that's what I was hoping you would say
That's better than most uses to make them equivalent or close to en26w

I just drilled the arm to 1/2" as that's what the bolt diameter is.
If you use the inserts and they have a lip, you'll need to make sure the lip is on the top, or make sure the ball joint takes the lip into account.

Mushy - nope, the mk2 is on coilovers and will be staying like that. Reason I'm thinking about/looking into extenders is that the drivers side tie rod is a tic's bum hair away from the chassis legs and occasionally binds under the right circumstances. Notching the chassis leg isn't going to solve the understeer caused by the mad angles in that area, so extenders and a flip kit are the order of the day. That, or raise the suspension...

    Sparrow - that bit I knew :)

I was asking about the set of inserts supplied by 'a manufacturer' that weren't machined well. Where did they come from? Only place I can find with them available separately is ourtech...?

As for extenders - where did the sheared set originate?

I'd be interested in a Group Buy for the SCCH kit or the TK Motorsport Kit which looks to be very similar to the SCCH one.

    Sorry

If you mean the ones on the first page of this thread, I have no idea. You'll have to ask hotgolf/Adam3136546453165413453616546576. :)

Is there any sort of 'boot' available for the SCCH kit? while it definitely appears to be the best option, i can't see the joint lasting long on a normal road going car without protection!

Regular cleaning, inspection and greasing should do the trick. I'll be using on track 99% of the time.
