What's this seal for?

    lol lost it lol, easily done amount of times i have miss placed mine just when i wanted it

    Measured twice now off 2 templates and both times I get it to 43 degrees mate

    ok so 43 degres it is and is that with an 8mm drill bit in the hole?, so the hole is not flat on to the little face it is drilled into?

    Yes 8mm drill bit, and the hole measured with a vernier sits 3mm in from the saide face of the head. Can take a more detail pic of that area if you want.

    Hello Rich, i'm the guy that has made up the drilling jig for John.
    Would you say the hole runs pependicular to the face in the recess?
    In you pics it looks like it does, but when we offered the jig up to the pillar drill, the bit wasn't at a right angle to that face.

    We/I only want to drill it once, for obvious reasons, so want to get it right. Thanks for your help. :thumbup:

    I'd say so yeah by eye, i'm away next week (free from Friday) but if it's of use to you guys if you want to arrange a couier I can quite happily pack the spare head up and its yours if you want to be deffo sure of angles and measurements.

    i don't think we need the head as you have measured the same angle as we got
    so the hole is not perpendicular with the surface of the cutout, but is positioned centrally on that face
    so thanks for the info and the offer of the head

    so today was the big day
    me and jezzer drilled the hole
    and here it is

    looking in from the bottum of the head to see where hole ended

    studs removed so i can have the face skimmed as there are a few marks on it that would give me trouble when sealing the intak or exhaust
