Well, it looks like the MK2 is off the road this weekend. :(

I was out enjoying the sunshine on Thursday when I had two things go at the same time !

    1. Engine mount bolt decided to sheer off !!

    2. And my custom accelerator cable bracket/mount decided to come loose and has ruined the thread on the inlet somehow !! [:x]

And as I was only round the corner, the trusty cable ties proved to be a life saver to get me home [:D]

You've gotta love a cable tie.

So, not sure when it'll be back on the road, as I need to find the time. Hopefully next weekend. But I'm thinking should fit the PAS at the same time, and also change the other mounts for piece of mind.

    Lets see what happens.

Enjoy the sunshine everyone. My Mk7 will be my Sunday blast today ;)

Looks rude mate! Wheels look amazing. Im feeling very envious right now. Good choice on the dish sizes. They suit much better.

Well, I decided a change was nessessary, so went all out and bought a whole new front light and grill setup. ;)

I've always been a fan of the de-badged grill look with smoked crosshairs, and I think it really suits the Mk2.

Here was the end result after a good wash and polish yesterday for today's London meets.

I've got a few more changes coming up in the next few months, so will keep you all posted. :)

    Thnaks mate.

I'm so happy with the way the wheels have turned out. Was in two minds about the chrome powder coat, but the end result was perfect. If anyone wants or needs any BBS's painted or refurbished, pop over to VooDoo motorsport and speak to Elie. Top guy

Hi Paul. The rear bumper is genuine and was bought a few years back now. The front was bought through German eBay, and has similar marking and lines like the genuine bumpers. Fits perfect too. Only problem is I don't know the actual manufacturer of this one ? It has made in Germany written in it, so a good copy.

That looks like you had a fresh respray!

Look great and the main thing is you are happy with the result.

    Cheers Ed . I wish ;)

That was 3 hours of washing, polishing and waxing with AutoGlym. Came up so good though.

A respray will be on the cards this year. It'll complete the car then

    Thanks mate :)

Yeah I know what you mean Eddie. The 20v rear badge blends in ok, as I had an 8v one on before.

But the Edition 20v sticker had to be done. Each to their own and all that eh ;) But its gained some good comments so far from fellow enthusiasts.

Lining it up the same as the genuine edition bonnets wasnt that easy though. I'm a little OCD with things like that :)

After seeing Jays Mk1 at the London meet last weekend, my MK2 will definitely be using the same paint shop as his.

And seen as its only round the corner from my house, its a win win for me. [:D]

You should watermark your pictures. Or I might use some of them for my little project. ;)
