BBS RM's are back from the powder-coaters. ;)

    And they look amazing !!

After contemplating and looking at various different colours, I'm so happy I decided to go with chrome powder-coat.

Thought I'd trial fit one of the new 1.5" lips, and you can already see how great these are going to look once I've built them up with my stainless & polished bolts and the stainless valves.

Also had the metal rings for the centre caps powder-coated chrome, just need to purchase a set of metal centre caps now.

So happy with them, and also a big thanks to Elie @ Voodoo Motorsport for sorting these out for me.

I'll be building these during the week, so will keep you updated with pics.

    Cheers. :)

    Thanks mate :)

Will be building one up tomorrow.

Still not sure what size Tyres to run, as I'll have a square set up of 7.5j all round.

    185/45/15 or 195/45/15 ?

Been looking on www.tyrestretch.com for examples but the pictures aren't the best tbh.

I had 195/45/15 on my 7j fronts and 205/45/15 on my 8j rear. Fronts were removed as I found them just to harsh so now on 195/50/15 yoko and much better and looks better I think. Tears maybe 50s yet.

I was thinking the same thing too. There is a German company who sell a whole set for around 70, which isn't too bad.

I also need new BBS logo centres too.

Oh yes. I've finally created my ultimate wheels I've always longed for. [:D]

Its been an eventful week this week regarding the Mk2. On Wednesday my BBS RM's were finally completed and awaiting some new rubber to be wrapped around them. ;)

Also, on the same day, this turned up at the door ;)

I've been after an original Hella Heckblende for a good while now, but obviously wasn't impressed with the price tag that they seem to go for these days.

Was happy to hear on Facebook that Heko in Poland were making replicas of these, so i thought why not......

Postage was very quick, and to be fair the quality on this is excellent. Way much better than I was expecting and it looks spot on.

Tyres were ordered in for Friday, and having a half day I popped in to have the tyres fitted.

Now guys, I'm sure you'll agree with me on this. I was extremely paranoid to have the new tyres fitted after all the careful work and time spent on these lol

But luckily, one of the guys I trust ( and a former Mk2 owner ) was in, so I carefully handed him the wheels one by one ;)

    Quick teaser pic ;)

    And the final result...

Really happy with the way its looking now.

Got a few more shiny parts to be fitted yet. Will keep you all posted.

    Cheers. :)

    Wheels look spot on!

The heckblende doesn't do it for me, but each to their own :).

To be fair, the heckblende has grown on me over the years. I wasn't a lover of them when I first saw them, but I think it suits a black mk2 with the BBS's. ;)
