Managed to fit my fully polished inlet and cam cover the other day. ;)

Really happy with how the bay looks now. I've still got a few more bits and pieces to fit yet, but its getting there...

Was a sunny day too which was good. :)

Once the bay is done, a respray will most definitely be on the cards... Just need to find someone who will enjoy painting it and do it properly...

Well, after much searching around, I managed to find a complete PAS setup for my Mk2. ;)
There is a lot of parts I won't be needing, so keep an eye out in the classifieds. So glad the rubber boot was included and all intact.

I never thought I'd change, but after driving a couple of PAS Mk2's lately, I had to have it.

Not a lot has been happening lately with the Mk2 though. Been busy with stuff lately, which has been taking up most of my time.

We did pop down to Ace Cafe last Tuesday night, and it was massive turn out, so out came the detailing products. :)

First clean of the RM's since I built them -

Was a great night, even though it did rain. And nice to catch up with everyone again.

So that's how it stands... PAS will be going in fairly soon once I get the time. Interior will be getting sorted soon too, hopefully a nice set of Recaros.

    Will keep you all posted.

    Oh yes... ;)

As well as my new'ish manual steering rack, track rods and ends.

I was a fan of manual steering, but I've persuaded myself to go PAS after driving a few lately...

The car is looking pretty awesome lately!

The washer jet and grommet on the hatch need to go for a proper clean look though!

    Thanks Adam.

Yeah smoothing the jet and grommet is on the cards when I finally get resprayed. Will do the wing areal at the same time too.

you may need to fit the g60/corrado reservoir behind the battery, the mk2 one will usually get in the way of the selector tower on the 02a/j. you could try chopping the bracket down a bit though to give more room. A mk3 golf pressure line will fit the mk4 golf pas pump better too!

Thanks for that info John mate

I never knew the Mk2 resiviour gets in the way of the 02a selector.

I know it's going to be a bugger fitting the new rack in with the engine in place.

Is the UJ hard to remove ?

aye it'll not be fun! you may get away with the mk2 reservoir but its usually pretty tight. But the G60 reservoir looks much nicer. thats the only reason I fitted one

for the UJ undo the allen head pinch bolt holding the ignition lock to the outer column tube and disconnect the wiring plugs, then once you undo (and remove!) both UJ bolts you can pull the column up to give you enough clearance to remove and refit the UJs. dont loose the spring between the uj and column!

I am using the mk2 Reservoir and it looks pants and does get in the way of the selector tower, ive also shortened the bracket, still no luck, i have just bought a corrado Reservoir.

As i am running the standard airbox, i think im going to have to extend the pipe going to the pump as i plan on mounting it where the expansion tank was.
