    Cheers.

I really like the new exhaust. The quality actually looked similar to my Jetex system, with all the mounts in the correct places and was fairly easy to slot together.

Here is how the exhaust is sitting. Forgot to get a picture of the rear before but was out in the Mk2 today so thought I'd take a quick snap.

Sits perfectly and didn't really need a lot of tweaking to get right.

Ive got loads to do on the it soon. Hopefully I'll get some spare time and crack on with it. ;)

Yeah I've gone for smaller lips this time round. 1.5" all round. I must be getting old lol

Tbh, the MK2 drives so much better with the G60 steels, so I decided to go smaller for handling over looks. ;)

After finding a boot plinth painted in my paint code ( LA9V black metallic ), I decided to remove the smoothed wrapped plinth, and replace with this, along with a brand new boot lock. ;)

Looks so much better now.

I also got hold of a later style coilpack loom cover to tidy up the wiring.

Will fit this once the new cam cover goes on. Going to detail the engine bay a little more too soon. ;)

I reckon getting a pair painted would the best option too. Could you even consider painting a pair using aerosol cans? I'm no painter so I don't know what I'm on about really, except I do remember how Richgit who was on here years back got a surprisingly good finish on his entire car(!) using rattle cans.

Thats true guys, but I think newly painted wings would stand out too much compared to the whole car.

A respray is definitely on the cards for the future, but I just wanted to tidy things up a little for the mean time.
I've replaced the bonnet with another, and it blended in nicely, so was hoping to find a set of wings and do the same.

It also doesn't help that this certain colour is found on edition 1's, which makes it even harder to find panels ! Such a lovely colour though, especially in the sun, and rare to see on a Driver !

Im not a massive user on the forum, but ive been lurking for a few years now.

I am in the process of doing the same conversion to my mk2 and i have just read your build thread from start to finsh, its taken a few days and its definitely a good reference point to keep coming back to, to make sure everything i have done is correct etc.

Good work so far! I will be creating a build thread soon

Thanks mate. I'm glad the thread has been a help to you

If you get stuck with anything just post a thread in the relevant sections or PM myself.

Looking forward to seeing your build thread. :)
