I think that might be a slight exaggeration, which appears to be a propensity of mk3 8v drivers.... ;)

Ohh how very little you really know SIMMA, lets not confuse the unreliability of G60 chargers with that a G40 one!

As for the build quality, my G40 has less rattles than my friends old Mk3 VR6, but why am I responding to you, as you can't see past the wonders of a mk3 8v atleast, you can enjoy the scenery as you Cruise past in your GTI

Yeah ok, I'm confused. I'm confused that when my friend bought a G40 the charger went in the first week of owning it. I'm confused that the outer panels (3/4 panel especially) on mk3 polo's is about as think at tin foil and would dent if you coughed on them.

I think I know what it is. Mk3's are just sh1t arent they, polo or golf.....

BTW you don't seem to like someone ripping your car to shreds, but you seem happy to do it back. If you cant take it back, don't dish it out. I'm not in love with the mk3 golf, it's a car I use cos I couldn't find a corrado, and I couldnt insure an Audi S4 which will be my next car, not some sh1t rollerskate girls polo.

My girlfriend drives a polo. Nuff said. Do u wear a bra AL?

BTW don't get you knickers in a twist about my last post AL, I was only pulling your chain. Get it? 'knickers' in a twist?

    Joke BTW.  ;)

Oh sorry SIMMA didn't realise because your friends charger blew meant they were all bad! Silly me;)

You can rip into my cars all you want, I know I have 2 good cars, and thats all that matters!;)

And nope don't wear a Bra, but owning Polo's for the last 6 years I'm surprised that I don't! And my knickers aren't in twist, because this is an excellent way to pass the morning at work! :p

This one is worthy of a new topic in it's own right, but consider.

    115 bhp in a mk3 at about 1100kg
90 bhp in a mk2 at about 900kg (the driver is quite a bit lighter than the GTI)

    Power to weight gives...

    Mk3 8v = 104.5
    Mk2 Driver = 100.0

Close enough that you can consider them in the same performance bracket. Factor in the advantage that lower weight has on the start line and you have an interesting proposition.

    Cheers,

    Drew.

Nope not a thing, the standard plastic dump valve was knackered, so I replaced it with an uprated group one, a sub and an amp and thats it!
