JE pistons finally on the way.

E mailed 'topendperformance' in the USA, mailed me back within minutes with a contact number to call, called + ordered JE 83.5mm 10.8:1 pistons, sent e mail request for paypal .. job done. He said they could be here in 5 days.

Also, they're slipping some ARP rod bolts in the package as it looks as though the cheap steel rods will have to be forgotten about as I can't wait until at least mid April for any.

It's a shame but the stock rods are ok up to 7500ish with bolts IMO.

Parcel arrived today from GSF with most of the dull bits required to put the engine together




'Topend' are posting the pistons and rod bolts tomorrow.

That's about it, other than getting a deal on some Newman 272 cams from Phillip Walker from on here

It's only 10.8:1 if you stick with the stock deck height

Is it just me that has a paranoia attack about pullies with slots and bolts, that could come loose

Maybe I'm an old bastard who remembers the safety of offset dowels and chains driving cams

 

Hi there man, that looks like a trick peice of kit. Can't wait to see it going

 

CatCams one is nicer... accurate 1 degree movements by dowel pins.
not too dear either.
