LOL! Got to laugh, it gets better all the time dealing with IPP/Flatlander racing. No reply from my last mail too them, so just sent a reminder.. got this automated reply "I am on pregnancy leave and will not be back at Flatlander Racing for 3-4 weeks." Edited by: GVK
JE pistons finally on the way. E mailed 'topendperformance' in the USA, mailed me back within minutes with a contact number to call, called + ordered JE 83.5mm 10.8:1 pistons, sent e mail request for paypal .. job done. He said they could be here in 5 days. http://www.racetep.com/JE.html Similar price to IPP but much cheaper shipping (half as much !) Also, they're slipping some ARP rod bolts in the package as it looks as though the cheap steel rods will have to be forgotten about as I can't wait until at least mid April for any. It's a shame but the stock rods are ok up to 7500ish with bolts IMO. Edited by: GVK
Parcel arrived today from GSF with most of the dull bits required to put the engine together 'Topend' are posting the pistons and rod bolts tomorrow. That's about it, other than getting a deal on some Newman 272 cams from Phillip Walker from on here Edited by: GVK
Hmm,these are nice pistons http://www.forgedpistons.co.uk/ 12+ :1 CR available for 9A etc Edited by: GVK
It's only 10.8:1 if you stick with the stock deck height I was going to run it on Parrafin Edited by: GVK
Autotech have a nice new cam gear for the valver http://www.autotech.com/prod_engine_camgears.htm Edited by: GVK
Is it just me that has a paranoia attack about pullies with slots and bolts, that could come loose Maybe I'm an old bastard who remembers the safety of offset dowels and chains driving cams
