    Carbs - good point.

i was giving the populace of the forum the benefit of the doubt - that is i was leaving room for a situation where they had genuinely not understood really simple rules, rather than perfectly understood but decided that they were just exempt.

perhaps i will just start banning anyone who i feel doesn't contribute to the forum - you know, the people who's posts the mods see and go "oh god, again..."rather than the ones where the team see them and think "oh, this may not be car related but at least it will be original/funny/interesting"

Dexter, I'm glad you deleted my valid and well constructed criticism regarding the inconsistent moderating of this forum. It proves to me that I'm right.

I certainly won't be contributing my 25 to the running of this club when my membership is up. Utter waste of money. :)

    Hmmm.

    Thats rather subjective.

Rules are in place that stand apart from personal opinion.

Surely banning people merely because you dislike their content is rather against the spirit of the forum ?

If there is no clear infringement of the rules you are allowing personal issues to cloud your judgement.

Thats not to say I dont think there is some total gash posted (damn, I post some of it) but I think a cool head is called for here.

    Not rash actions.

    :)

Seconded tbh I might not get my membership at all now.

I think that some of the moderating on this forum is done by utter rascals who "decide" if they like something or not based on their own personal preferences.

This forum is made up of a mixed bunch and in my opinion if a thread isn't worth the web space it's written on then it wouldnt be replied to would it?

I agree with the inconsistency thing though guys - you can't let one person get away with saying some words and others not - regardless of wether or not you've "enjoyed their previous posts"!!!!!!!!!!!

DIsclaimer: I fully back up any decisions made where someone is clearly being offensive - but your decision re Magpie was pants.
