Nah the 1st 2 feet seem to be the downstairs content of what was left when there was a fire there [:x]....electrical wire, sockets, beading, burnt wood etc.

Right had another quote that came out about the same price.....[:[]

So i asked if he had anything else to offer & had a look around land & he decided to match the other quote & pay for the cost of removing & leveling the ground (which would have cost me about 300) & also put some walls up elsewhere & a new fence forotherareaof garden & some extra security& stronger doorswith lights that come on when door opens.

Diggers will be in within the next 2 weeks & all work should be finished 2 weeks after diggers finish.

nothing much more today lads......trench now made into a complete square but waiting for council examiner to check this stage friday before any more work (im paying 260 to make sure builders stick to regulations ;)).

& the examiner will decide after calculations how wide the bottom of the retaining wall has to be.

They should finish the other jobs they are doing on weekend & start mine fully on monday with a full crew.

On another note the boss told me that it took enough lorry loadsto fill the equivalant of about 12 skipswhich would have cost about 1500 (120 each skip & digger costs) but this way it cost him about 700 (glad it's in his quote [:D]).

You can see from this drawing my path (yellow) and because it will be concrete i need to get rid of rain water so will have a drain fitted & run the pipework under the garage to a soakaway which the roof drainpipe is also attached to.

Thats the neibours garden (whose wall i removed [:$]).

My rear entrance is the 9ft gap in the wall (there wont be a pathway going around my garage as im using the full width of garden so only access is roller door).
