HD DVD or Blu-Ray

    Not HD tv, but has component vid, scart, s-video, ect.

    Recorder has:

    # Audio output A2 mono , Nicam stereo
    # HDMI x 1
    # 2 x scart connections
    # Audio output jack L/R
    # SVideo out x 1
    # Component video out x 1
    # Digital audio out Optical and Coaxial
    # AV in x 1
    # DV in x 1
    # RF in x 1
    # RF out x 1 without modulator

    I think your stuck with scart sorry. Component would be good but no audio with it.

    I have a Non HD LCD. But that has DVI and VGA for connecting my PC:)

    You can now get a Toshibe HD-DVD player from Tesco's for 199.99 with 2 hd-dvds and 1000 clubcard points (equates to 10)

    Ohh nice! Ive just wired in my amp. My laptop plays DVD to it perfect and DTS 5.1. Just need my free copy of spiderman 3 on blu-ray now.

    Also trying to find a cheap 360 HD-DVD drive[:$]

    How much does a graphics card with hdmi out cost?

    Not really worth the player when you can download that quality already is it?

    You can't download movies the same quality as HD DVD/Blu-ray.

    They're re-encoded to a smaller filesize which results in a much lower bitrate.

    So are dvd rips and they still view fine.
    Must be the same difference as them audio cables give.

    No theres a definite difference, plus a lot of rips are 720p

    and all dvd rips ( > .avi,etc.) are utter sh*t quality :thumbd:
