Keeping the pipes as small as they will flow desired air, will help response when getting back on the throttle. On most sub 350 bhp cases 57 mm dia. is pretty adequate.
I was told to add 1k pullup resistors for the coils in my harness. i really dont want standard carbon film resistors heatshrinked in, just because they have a bad habit of losing legs under vibration. do you think theese would do the trick just as well? i can mount them on a plate for good access and easy replacement when i dont need to cut open heatshrink to find it http://no.rs-online.com/web/p/products/7547672P/
i was recomended to use them as pullup when using the 4pin coils. im not really sure why but i try to do what im told he has quite a lot of megasquirt experience under his belt
New clutch from KL Racing, sinter pads. Pairing it with the OEM VR6 pressure plate. Around 70. If it dont hold i have the ACT/Kep clutch with wrong center hub. So i can switch over hubs. And one from Hansen Motorsport. Lupo 60-2 Triggerwheel 4 connectors for tfsi coils So now im broke for another month ????
Grouped togheter the wires for the coils, weave and rubber seals Repaired the threads for my valvecover Timesert threads from wurth works every time.
Not much work done the past days. Test fitting my muffler And mounted studs and gaskets on the wastegate
60-2 mounted, not with the special tool, as no VW shop would lend it out. Drew on plenty of marks, mounted the flange and then pressed on the triggerwheel with an old 4spd flywheel (they are flat so i can see a little of whats going on ) I will keep an extra eye on this. One leak or mistrigger i will pay them to mount a new flange
Balljoint extenders for GTI/VR6, is there any good options? or will the cheapes/best option be converting to 4x100 uprights and move over the hubs?
6666 views, this means that somone atleast finds this thread interesting todays project will be...........cleaning the garage maybe a little exhaust welding and mounting the front
So much for cleaning and exhaust welding [emoji14] Spare wheel well has had quite some damage due to jacking and rust. Going to make a new box for the fuelcell.
Got a good deal on coils today so one thing less to Buy Also started on the distributor blockoff, because the premade ones are f....... Expensive[emoji14] 4mm steel will not bend or leak i hope ????
Nice work! Wich car are the coils from? For the distributor blockoff, Nige do it perfectly with a distributor. Regards.
They are from a Audi A4 2.0 tfsi. Yes i know, but i dont have access to TIG welder at the moment. And my only distributor is in really good shape so it would be a shame to hack it apart
I`m not convinced that 4mm plate won`t leak. I think Gurds cut his distributor but siliconed (or similar) a coin over the hole. It`s never leaked !
As an alternative to the examples that also work, would be to contact duff on here for one of these T Mount components. They do look much smarter. Then build a platform for the coil pack. The platform will need appropriate bracing to retain durability.
