I think a flow test could answer that last question Jon. .;)

Looks like the pistons are flush with the block deck?...so you'll need a bowl and valve cut outs to run a flat head, or around a 35cc in a chambered head.

300...depends on what the rest of the cam spec is. 45's. It can still have reasonable mid range if the C.R is matched to the cam.

Check any 1600 block very carefully. .they crack between the head bolt holes and water passages...very hard to get a good block now. Head gasket is also an issue on high C.R, big bore etc...I'm just having a custom one done.

Gorgeous 'S' Jon! ...that current or from the past?

    Love the "easy rider"!

JOR: This logo was done in 1991, when a local electronics company was going to sponsor me. Kept it going as an ego trip.
Forgot how cold icy Croft was last year. Nightmare to try and drive in the pulsar.
Mk2 nearly ready. Croft in 4 days. Cant wait.
Will take and post some pics soon

Christmas Stages. Croft. Today. Quiet run around. Ended 35 overall. Quality entry 90+. Quite like mk2's , first one I have driven. Nice and forgiving. (compared to GTIR's and my old mk1).
    Icy, so some tricky stages

    LOL, that's rallying.
We have had every thing today, but fresh snow on top of ice is a real challenge on the wrong tyres.
No excuses though, same for everybody.
