Yes it worked great on them. You need to nip the two 10mm bolts that hold the pipe quite tight, but with the handle and 17mm spanner on the flare “bit” you get plenty torque on it to produce a nice flare. It also comes with a small pot of punch grease that helps the pipe take the shape of the flare “bit” or whatever it’s called. Depending on how much the calliper touches you might get away with a slim (non hub centric) 5mm spacer?
OE brake lines are steel. Need a good flaring tool for those. I Don't have a definite answer for the S bend, but I imagine it allows for a little vibration / movement at the load sensing valve, without VW having to fit an extra pair of flexible lines. The lines would eventually crack over time if they are being subjected to the tiny back and forward motion that is being put into the load sensing valve, by the axle. This is only a theory by me. However, there's bugger all on a mk2 in the mechanical sense, that's not there for a valid reason.

So another quick mock up reveals that the wheel clears the calipers happy days. Now we can get stub axle spacers too Won’t be able to use the hub cap though Never mind, Ralph can design and 3D print some, he’s clever like that (gets it from me ).
the G60 clutch master hose has like 3 complete coils of hard line before it gets to the flexi as well which is odd. could just be the hard lines are made in several set lengths which are suitable for a range of cars then they are sent to be bent into shape later on depending what car they are for
Today I had intended to tackle rust on another arch but it was so cold I could not get the enthusiasm going. Also, the Hydrate 80 and the epoxy take so long to go off in the cold I couldn’t face it. So we decided to build up the rear beam. Some bits. Calipers and carriers painted to match the fronts. Everyone knows that red calipers makes the car go faster of course Back spacers and spindles on. Bearings packed and discs on. Purteeee Of course the calipers have flexi hoses but there is no bracket for them to attach to the hard line. Some grinding, drilling and bending later….. times two of course…. We toyed with drilling and tapping the beam to mount the bracket but as both the beam and bracket are thick metal I went for the welding option (welding thick metal is so much easier that welding thin metal ). A bit of linishing and the paint is drying….more to follow
It seemed a good place, out of the way, allowed for the flexi pipe to bend nicely and allowed for the original hard line route to be used (although shortened).
10 minutes in the garage this morning, can’t do much as it’s chucking it down. The Mk4 caliper hoses have these little ears on them. I can only think that there is a corresponding slot on the Mk4 bracket. Anyhoo, it means they don’t fit the standard MK2 type hole which, in turn, means the male connector is not a comfortable fit and the retaining spring is too compressed for my liking. So a quick whizz with the angle grinder and a bit of filing and et voila…. All the pipe connections I can do for now. Waiting for some pipe and connectors to arrive.
New beam on today, Ready Old one off. Had to cut the flexi hoses and Dremel off one joint. New one on. I managed to re-shape the existing brake pipe to fit the proportioning valve, even including the swan neck bends. Just had to make a new pipe from valve to rear offside. The flaring tool that @caddyboet put me on to was godsend Forgot to take pictures but will do when under there again (soon no doubt ). Not happy with the brake pedal which I have opened another thread on. Handbrake is much better now though.
Looks good, especially the hose bracket. Unfortunately I'm not as far on with mine to be able to help you. When I swapped my Corrado to 288s they at first seemed soft with long pedal travel but did firm up. Is there a slave cyllinder on yours that need bleeding too?
Looks great! Interesting to see your rear calliper routing is different to mine. Mine has the rather useless clip on brackets for the calliper flexi hoses. Yours looks much better fixed to the beam like that. what size spacers did you go for?
15mm to match the front. The front is too wide but we have no option with the wheels we have unfortunately. Thanks, I’m glad I went that way, it’s much more secure.
A fantastic day so we are cracking on. Another arch derusted. No pics but there was a little welding needed. Just waiting for the Hydrate 80 to do its biz and then a quick fill and paint. While waiting for that undertray fitted. It fits much better than it did when it was a 1.3. The MK3 subframe holes line up perfectly which they didn’t on the MK2. Passenger door window wasn’t going down so quickly whipped off the door card and found that the PO had obviously got a job lot of duct tape and taped up all the holes. Some had come off and jammed the window mechanism. Simple fix, another job done. Drivers side door pin release had come off so, again, door car off, little white plastic actuator returned to its correct place and pin replaced. Another job done. Back out there in a few minutes
Gratuitous arch pics. I also trial fitted one of the rear arch liners we bought a while back. It fitted very easily and without any trimming, looking forward to getting them on. Just need to see how to fit them with the GTi arches as they sort of overlap a bit. A good days progress

Nice mk3 gti non airbag wheel would look nice. Porsche one sounds good, are they straight fit or need modified mount?
