    Cheers dude

Yes, Dave mapped it and was totally wrong for the engine spec. From what I could see he had changed the fueling slightly and then just ramped the boost up. [8(] No joking about I could have spent 200 on fuel and done a better job on the road!

    P.s.

Little update on the cage fitting...

Main hoop and A pilars are in, both roof diags in, rear foot plates in and have started cutting the bulkhead to get to the front struts. Should also be able to work a little quicker now that we are back to work and the heater is on once again!

Time for a little flashback while I've not had a chance to get on with the cage install.

All this was done about 2 years ago.

Started by cutting off the outer arch
    DSC00236.JPG

Then I had to trim back the inner arch and join them back together

Front arches were just a case of removing the arch liner and cutting back the arch.

Took about a week of evenings and one sunny day for painting.

Will be back on the cage tomorrow so should have another update. Looking to make the first CGTi sprint of the year so I need to pull my finger out and get back in the cold  Saw -5 degrees on the thermometer inside the garage the other night!! [xx(]

Getting on ok with your cage then!

I'm having problems with custom cages not answering e-mails or phone calls regarding the missing parts to my cage. So having to go through my credit card company to get the money back! worst company ive ever dealt with.

Yeah not too bad so far haven't had much time to spend on it but fingers crossed I should have it in by the end of the week. Can't belive how different your experience with them has been. Hope you get it all sorted!

    Cheers dude!

Just looking at getting it back on the road for now  Then I'll look into changing the gearing / gearbox to suit. Will still probably get a motorsport style shiffter whatever I go for tho.

The cams are OEM AGU at the moment. I have a JP racing small port head with Ferrea valves and Supertech springs to fit at some point. (not going for big power but more response) I do have another set of cams but I'm not sure what they are. I got them when I bought a brand new big port head but there are no engine codes on the head. If I cant work out what they're from I'll just buy a new N/A inlet cam and be done with it.

    Cage, done!

All the main bits are now done, just a few little bits on the bulkhead to finish off then it's time for a coat of paint.

Fingers crossed I'll have it ready in March. Took me about a week in all to fit the cage. Took a while getting it to fit nice but once I had it all sorted in only took about a day of soild welding.

    Cheers dude, nice one

Right, I think I have finaly finished all the welding at last and have now moved on to all the boring little jobs that take ages and offer little reward when compleat. Been a cold one today which hasn't help much either. Should be ready for paint by the end of the week finger crossed.

Also been reading a lot of other members build threads and getting a lot of motivation in the process! Lots of impressive work going on should be a good year by the looks of things! Keep it up guys!

Got a few more bits done the last couple of days while waiting for parts to turn up.

Had a trial fit of the seat and dash

    IMG_0107.JPG

Little idea of how the dash will look when done

    IMG_0109.JPG

and also started the prep work for the painting that should be done this weekend (with a bit of luck)

Primer is on but I didn't have enough base coat to paint the whole of the inside so I'll sort that out this week.
