Smoking Ban

    i work in a pub and as a smoker its a pain in the sometimes nipping ouside every time u want a fag even more annying when got a pain of butt custumer!!
    but good advantage my clothes dont constantly stink like an ash tray

    its been pouring down for last few weeks the number of smokers standin outside is going down rapidly :p

    Our local's got a well nice smoking area outside.
    Loads of heaters plenty of seating loads of plants growing round the sides to keep the wind out.
    I rarely go inside the pub anymore apart from getting a round in and I'm not even a smoker.

    I think part of the cost reasoning is that if the smokers quit, the less, eventually, will need to be treated (at huge cost) for smoking-related diseases.

    (I'm speaking as an ex-smoker whom a spell of pneumonia nearly killed. Due to the lung damage, I now struggle to breathe in less than ideal conditions. So I know that these diseases cost horrendous amounts to treat.)

    Having said that, I hate the nanny-state attitude of the government, and think people should be allowed more choice in their own actions. Things get worse all the time - even the new Passat won't let me start it until I've fastened my seatbelt!!!
