Haha, and a full sus from that era will be no where near as efficient as a current one

Admittedly you are in the steeper part of the county there, but just think what it's like up here in Yorkshire.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that this entire world is going to hell in a handbasket at a serious rate of knots?
War (including nuclear threats), political upheaval and chaos, cost of living (existing) soaring through the bloody roof, companies going bust, stuff (nothing fancy) no longer available or it takes an ice age to get it - fcuking 80's were depressing enough to live through but things appear to have cranked up a few more notches 40 years later.

If I could, I'd go back to about 1998-2003. Better times.

It's like growing up again, strikes, power cuts, and the cold War hanging over us,
Suppose its more real now as we are the grown ups!

We just move from one issue into another, the media doesn't help.

@Tristan isn't too far out by going back 20 odd years, things are definitely going in a negative direction over the last number of years.

As an example, I see youtubers creating channels and providing commentary on the Ukrainian invasion, military tactics etc. Those brave people are fighting for their nation, their culture and their lives but let's 'like and subscribe' and line on our pockets at their expense.
Indeed this could be said about any issue where suffering, death and destruction are involved - let's get the camera out and start commenting.
When did the human race become so cynical and self-serving? I agree about the media comments but social media has spawned a whole new breed of people without soul.
Were we always like this but simply didn't have the platform(s) to advertise that fact up until relatively recently??

I no longer believe anything we are told on the BBC, ITV C4 Sky etc news they only tell you what you want they want you to know
With regards to ukraine / russia etc the first thing i would to the ukraine PM is dont trust the west - these guys will do a deal behind your back
Putin as with all superpowers may be a monster but after iraq / afganistan with an estimated 1/2 million civilian deaths can the west claim to be any different?
The human race is an ugly nasty species that feeds off each other and our dna is designed to destroy and is doomed.

I've still got my dad's business card from when he had the bakery with just 'Puriton 531' as the phone number.

Mildly amusing, before the parents actually had a phone, dad used to jokingly say his number was "Bog 123" if anyone asked. As we live in a rural area, with lots of peat bogs around.
Then when the line was installed some years later, by coincidence he got 123!
