Thats what most of them test as on K jet.
My Old WOLF, which used a AYK 02A used to do it in 6.7 secs.
It also gives the torque and hp curves and if you are accurate on the exact weight of the car as tested it would give you the horsepower value applied to the road.
Most ABF 2.0 16vs on K jet tested are around 114-117ish@ around 6500 =/- 100rpm and the KR motors 107-108 around the same. Both have very similar torque and as a result power curves.
Bens cab got 14.5-14.7@91-2mph when we tested the car with this tool. He later went to VW festival and did a 14.6@93mph
EV04 driver had a car that was working like rubbish. Those things are 5 sec to 60mph cars with 60ft traction measuring around 2.3 average. Mk2 ABF's Golf will do the same in 2.6secs after lots of clutch slipping and concentration.
I have a database with all the cars tested so far it stands at 180 and climbing.

Toyotec, you are a legend, and a scientist to boot!!

Have you tested any 9A type 2.0 16v motors Vs the ABF times?

I had a car I was setting up to a comparision test. The feel was similar but I cannot say scientifically that it was faster. This car is now a turbo 16v as well.

    ABF in MK2 runnning digi 3/3.2 20/10/07

After speak to Dav I have added this part to the ABF install.
ABF in MK2 on digifant 3/3.2

For some who choose 8v valve digifant as the base car to install an ABF motor running VAGs digifant 3.2 may be an easier option to the CIS system.
The car would not be as nippy in th last 4000rpm of rev range as the easy to optimse K jet but it will still brign a smile on your face.
This is what was done to "gad's" car using ther orignial gearbox, flywheel, engine mounts and exhaust system .

    Car: Late 91 GTI 8v

Disconnect electrical wires and PAS pump if fitted*
Remove old 8v engine and gearbox complete .
Removed or move forward the brake servo
Remove digifant 2 and engine loom.
    Replace timing belt on ABF
*You can use the MK3/Seat engine front end accessory drive and connect MK2 PAS lines to ABF PAS pump when the engine is installed* This was done on this conversion
    [IMG]
If reusing 020 gearbox replace clutch if over 60000miles and reuse flywheel.
    Mate to Engine.
At this time you may have full ABF engine loom. You need to cafefully strip out any wires not needed in your Mark 2
Looms should be similar when placed side by side. With the exception of
Digi 2 on left and Digi 3 on right ,note green wire in the outtermost right of picture, this goes from immobliser box to Pin 43 on the 68 pin Digifant 3/3.2. This is also the data link line where your get your diagnositcs from. This is shares a common connection with the immobiliser.
This is the imboiliser module with transpnder inout from key or loop and diagnostic line and power.
This is the junction block that you uses to connect a 2X2 or J1962 connector.
    2X2 DLC connector
    [IMG]
Remove transponder from key and fasten to transponder loop if the PCM is a post 93.
Obtain Seat mounting plate for PCM and refit PCM in MK2 postion.
    Install ABF engine harness.
    Install ABF engine.
    Connect all lines and electrics
Connect harness to round multi pin connector on engine and Crank sensor /knock sensors
    [IMG]
    Secure brake servo into postion.
    Connect Coil/ignitor assembly
    [IMG]
Install map signal hose from Throttle body to PCM and block purge valve intake
    [IMG]
Install airbox and make sure the Intake temperature sensor is hooked up
    [IMG]
Turn igniton to make sure ecu energises fuel pump relay
    Check fluids.
Use VW green PAS fluid and G12 plus for coolant
    Start engine.
    Check for leaks.
    Job done.

Detailes of how to run one of these engines on MS1 ver 3 PCB can be found here.
This is great option for engines that do not have an OE digifant 3.x system.

Probably a stupid question, but in the ABF into 8v digi install, what airbox are you using? I can see it's not the mk3 one, but it doesn't look like a mk2 item either! So what is it?

i have just invested in an ABF engine box and drive shafts from a seat, i am intending on replacing my KR with the ABF block and head, using the rest of the KR stuff for fueling, i have just split the box from the engine and noticed the flywheel setup is the opposite way round to the KR, do i just take everything of the block on the KR and fit it to the ABF like it was on the KR?

if you know what i mean lol

im seriously considering an abf into digi conversion. my 2.0 8v is somewhat lacking. im good with all the mechanical stuff, but i just need to get my head around all the wiring. (immobiliser, coil etc) im sure it'll become alot clearer once the loom is infront of me.

my only concern is iv just forked out a small fortune on a jmr/milltek downpipe, and 2" jetex system. will this be too restrictive as jetex themselves rate it upto 150hp? i see the abf/kjet toyo used has a 1 3/4 system and makes good figures

You will be fine on the 2" system.

cheers fella. one last thing. iv got a good offer, on a good abf. the only issue is its from a p reg seat ibiza cupra. i know these have a combined loom. if the engine/light loom were to be separated, would this be as plug and play as the above conversion? Paul

The engine that was transplanted in the Red 8v was from a SEAT Ibiza 16v.
This loom for engine bay was removed from the engine controls to end up as an engine control loom only.
