Ok.. hypothetically, and for a bit of fun, which could turn into something perhaps.

What is the one part, or two or three (no more than that, or we'll end up with your resto shopping list!) that you cant find, and if you could buy a good quality repro of, you would?

    Personally..

i'd like to be able to buy mk2 jetta rear bumpers off the shelf

    lets hear your ideas..

    Cheers

    Andy

decent trim, not seen bbt's stuff so can't comment, but gsf's trim is pants lightweight and poor finish, if you can do better than that i'd buy from you

On the bumpers/trim theme; decent small Mk2 Golf bumpers in black with chrome trim.

Panels (though I realise you source these already)

Out of production parts, eg braided Mk1 fuel pump accumulator hose, Mk1 rear beam pivot bolts (16valver was asking after a set) + more. Anything people are struggling with there.

Good Mk1 bumpers, even if aftermarket, Mk1 metal side strips, tailgate badges, Pirelli centre caps (no idea if these are sourceable), Mk1 interior adjustable mirror glass.

And the holy grail: the stainless Mk1 fuel tank filler pipe.

MK1/2 repair panels for areas like floor/sills, battery tray and inner arches
Early mk1 rear panel (small light)
    Mk1 chrome bumpers
and of course all the small but useful trim, clips and finishing parts that are now obsolete!

Some performance bits that are rumoured to be going out of production, like Eibach ARB's, decent bolt in roll cages (not OMP). Its worth just publicising if you can still get that sort stuff, as a lot of people aren't listing any Mk1 / Scirocco / Mk2 bits any more.

ARB mounting kits would be good too - the studs on the brackets always break at the front, and the rear straps rust up.

A proper widetrack / anti bump steer kit for a Mk1 / Rocco would be handy too, although it would obviously have a fairly specialised and limited market - could include

    - Rear beam to stub axle spacer and fixings (should work for Mk1 or Mk2 I think)
    - Front steering arm spacer to fit Mk3 hubs, with rose joint.
    - bottom ball joint extender
    - Mk3 steering arms (non Pas)
(I've probably missed a few bits).

If you've got good ally welding and fabrication contacts, it would be worth publicising those too - manifolds for ITB conversions, and repairs to old parts that you can't get any more, would be very useful.

Also, other companies sell Mk1 filler necks, but nobody sells later Scirocco / cabby ones, that I've seen. Either stainless or mild steel. Maybe a custom exhaust maker could do a batch?
