    That is beautiful.[:*:]

Is that built on the original Typo 33 chassis, with the propshaft split under the driver's testicles?

I once sat in a Typo 33 GP car, and the thought of all that whirring stuff, between ones' thighs, scared me, even though it was stationary![xx(]

But, for a car of that era, the engineering was uber superb.

    The BL hijack continues.

How scene would that Allergy be with a set of uber dished BBS rimzs.
The scenesters would love it too as you could just cut the hydrolastic suspension pipe and slam it it seconds.

Can some one please Photoshop some BBS and a 120mm drop please. Camber optional. ;)

    A pair of great cars!

The Beemer would have to be white though!:)

Do you recollect BMW's excuse for not making a RHD version of the M3?

I think I'd still take the 1970 911 'Basic' as my #1 Porsche, because it looked so standard, except for the rubber bonnet catches!

ps. The original M3 only produced 8 bhp more than some of the production Audi 90 20Vs.

Nowt wrong with Marinas. (except for the front lever arm shocker suspension)

A TC would pi55 all over an MGB GT.

We built a 6 speed Marina TC, at Laycocks. Overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears.

I love black, i think it shows off the big arches more in black [:D]

haven't a clue regarding why they didn't make RHD, I remember the first weekend I bought my mk3 16v (i was 18!) I tried it on with one up this hill and was doing well (they arn't super super fast after all) and we got to a big tesco roundabout and I started breaking and he accelerated onto this roundabout, turned in and gave it a massive bootfull of power making black lines every where sounding fantastic and I was in love. One of my all time favorite cars.

The Porsche, I used to be a travelling sales guy and sold a lot into army married quarters. I met an officer who had done his 22, then done training for some 5 years after on silly money and had this massive massive pension. With his lump sum he spanked the lot on an old 2.7RS  He took me for a spin, and then let me sit in the drivers seat and rev the thing - can remember feeling that engine vibrate right through my chest and made my hairs on my neck tingle. Cars that can do that are a thing of the past imo

    Love it!

There`s a similar thread from a while back discussing what you`d have if you didn`t have old VAG stuff, and I listed the Imp alongside the RS2000, and Sunbeam.

There also an awesome one in this month`s PPC with bike-bodies, and an Eaton strapped to the old Climax. Also utilises an Audi RS2 intercooler requiring a Porcshe-style ducktail rear lid. :o

    Oh, and it`s on Compomotives...

Hmm. Don't recall bhp being top of the list of achievements for the E30 M3.
I'll give you credit for trying, though  and that Alfa in your first post is a lottery-garage fave of mine too.

    Anyway, cars I'd like to see made again;

    Lotus Type 14 Elite
    Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato
Aston Martin DB4 GT & also Zagato
    Maserati Khamsin
    Lamborghini Espada
    Lamborghini Miura SV
    Jaguar E-Type Lightweight Low-Drag Coup
    Porsche 911S 2.4
    Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman
    BMW E28 M5
    BMW E9

With regards to the LHD-only nature of the E30 M3 (and its Mercedes 190E Evolution contemporaries), I think one of the main reasons was exhaust manifold / steering rack interface compromises. Both cars equipped with longitudinally-mounted Twin-Cam I4s.

Updated with Seam Sealer, and underseal would be good. I nearly imported a '69 GTV from South Africa last winter, but the guy decided he didn't want it to go abroad. I've got one of those twin cam engines in bits in the workshop at the minute. The sump alone is a work of art (alloy, baffled, big-wing sump from the factory.) ... and the NOISE they make - kleenex please![:D] Even the 1600 cooking engine had about 100 bhp, in the late '60s.

I'd buy a 75 twin spark veloce, or a series 1 'sud ti too. Keep the 1200 gearbox and stick a 1700 16v boxer lump in it.

Imp Schmimp. Sunbeam Stiletto is where it's at. As retro as a tall hat.
