?

Should there be zero tolerance on drink driving?"

  1. Yes, I’m happy not to drive for 2 days after a bender!

  2. No, I drive like a nob anyway, so drunks are probably safer!

My grandfather kept a bottle of scotch in his stomach at all times as well - must be the war, eh? ;)

My grandfather was once quoted as saying, "Chocs away? Not bloody likely!"

    Cheers,

    Drew.

A big yes for me. I think there should be a zero tolerance to drink driving. I don't think that you should be allowed to consume any alcohol before driving.

The unit per hour thing after you stop drinking is about right but only a guide as already mentioned. The thing is, most folk don't even know what a unit of alcohol actually is [:s]

I heard an inbteresting statistic lately that the majority of fatalities in road accidents where alcohol is involved are drunk pedestrians.

Driving and drugs? There's an interesting one!! Speed amkes you think that you are ace, but infact your crap, but pot is OK coz you go too slow to do any harm if you crash

I've worked with people who could breathe on you in a morning and make you over the limit and they've all driven to work. [:x]

My grandad bottled a Russian sailor once, and he died. Happily the sailor had syphilis and had lost the plot, so the old fella got away with it. It's part of our family tradition now though - every year we kill a Russian sailor with a broken bottle.

i don't think you should drive unless you have complete control - this now discludes most of the population. I have no problem with that!!

I think there's a difference between drink driving and drunk driving. I'm happy to drive at around the limit (about a pint ain't it?) and the morning after if I feel alright...

I would have to vote no to zero-tolerance, purely because there are often few alternatives to designating a driver (cabs are too expensive, buses stop running early, etc.).

Tonight, on the understanding that I was going to be drinking, I left the car at home. Didn't even finish my second pint as I felt sh*t after our football game (some big guy belted it from close range and it smacked me right in the b*llocks - cracking save). It took me 35 minutes to walk / run home. Would much rather have had the car there.

People who don't drink are generally boring to be with.

Conversely, when you're sober a room full of drunks generally aren't funny AT ALL...

yes, they are - when you are sober. People who don't get intoxicated have something to hide, and are scared to lose control....

See my sister's paper, to be debuted in November..... ugly psychologist girl.

    Thats balls.

Its got nothing to do with hiding something.

Its got everything to do with ...

    1. Wasting a fortune.
    2. Waking up feeling like sh*t, with an empty wallet.
    3. Throwing up. Violently.
    4. Usually falling over and damaging yourself/someone else.

TBH I just can't be bothered with drinking most nights out nowadays... It's SO much easier to be able to drive home and kip in my own bed, wake up the next day feeling fine and save myself a fortune!

Yeah, yeah, I'm getting old

And? As they say, drunk guys say what sober guys are thinking.......
Personally, I think if you don't need some kind of relief in your life then you aren't living it enough. Be a bastard all week, then annoy the fuck out of people at weekends.

Add life to your days, not days to your life. I never thought I'd reach 25, but I'm 28 today. Argue. Start fights then run away. Throw bottles at policemen. Just don't be "average".....

And nothing. If thats your thing ... do it :)

I used to get sh*tfaced regularly. Now I just dont enjoy it.

Wheres the point in doing something you dont enjoy ?

I find other things to spend my money on. I`m a b*stard all week and not drinking much doesnt mean I dont live my life to the full.

    Start fights ? What the f*ck for ? [:s]
