yaeh the 2 part numbers both come back to mk2 16v type dizzy so could just be early/late design is all. the hall sensor inside looks liek bog std think nowt special there.

its just a case of are the trigger windows moved slightly vs oem and/or bigger/smaller. tricky one to measure if they are only moved a bit, probably need some real accurate measuring implements and possibly some match involving the use of pi

bog std 16v metering head there, air flcone could have been reprofiled though worth a look! if you got a std one somewhere compare it to the one ya got :)

dizzy hall sensor looks liek a normal 16v unit, looks liek you caught it in time as the wire insulation looks ok. oil will eat into them after a while

Yes use a couple of bearing suppliers and the place Jonny recommends is ten minutes away [:D]

Guess you where right about the dizzy but could have been swopped at some time [:s]

Won't know unless another RE2000 owner takes a look or I buy another RE2000 engine lol

Also good at visualising / problem solving and good with their hands generally

Both my brother and I score very high on the dyslexia spectrum bordering on Aspergers [8(] hence we both lack good social skills lol I also score high on the psychopathic range [:x] means I get a bit obsessed sometimes hence 5 golfs 30 rc cars and a 100 scalextric cars plus loads of track sets lol
My wife says I'm a bit obsessive lol but wishes I was a bit more obsessive about tidying like my mum lol

So moved this out of my mates garage tonight and put it into storage [:s]
Actually looked better than I remembered so I must get it together in the not to distant future .
So first I need to weld mot and sell the pinkster
Second sort RE2000 number 2 for using
    Third rebuild race car engine
Then I can maybe strip this for a full respray in tornado red ?
