Excellent - I am definitely going to have one, too. I'll do the PayPal payment later this evening though because the lunch hour is up. This is 100% definite.

I'll reserve you #4 spot then. Gimme the loot, fruit!

I'll send you an email then.

    Ooops....
Sorry! That user has specified that they do not wish to receive emails. If you still wish to send an email to this user, please contact the administrator and they may be able to help.

Email the funds ($69.99 USD) to me at brokegti@sbcglobal.net and I'll get you on the list.

    PayPal is pure evil.;)

I think it was the payment type or method you selected, or however it is set up over there in the UK. The others were marked as "payment owed" when they emailed the money, yours was listed as "payment" or something like that. I thought it was a way to make the fees appear on the senders end, which is nice for me, unless paypal makes more, then it sucks:lol:

At any rate, you're all paid up!

    chopperoli - paid
    sambo - paid
    mitlom - paid
    Trev16v - owes
    PeteGLi - paid

That's 6 spots filled! When Trev16V completes the funds transfer, I'll get the first lot ordered up.

I think that pic is the cheaper kit, the kits you guys should get includes a shut-off valve, and half a dozen adapters or so.

Anyway, all 6 spots are filled, when Trev16v gets paid up, I'll place the order (I'll most likely place the order today, to get the ball rolling, so when the last payment arrives, I can just ship direct to the UK), and get it all sent to the UK.:)

I think that is much more like the kit that is being ordered.

They're all pretty much the same, that looks like my kit I bought from some other place years ago, it is just a regular kit with the other adapters and the valve included.

The kit from JCW I don't think includes a hard case, that is something that is usually mentioned as being included, and they don't say anything about a hard case, so I'm assuming they won't be in those cases, which is probably a contributing factor to the price being a good bit lower than other kits which seem to hover around the $100 mark.

When they open in a few hours, I'll contact them and get the half-dozen kits ordered up:)

    :(
    oh balls.

It appears JC Whitney only have 2 kits in stock. Broke was all set to place the order when they let slip that little gem. The icing on the cake is they can't confirm when they'll be getting more in. There's a few peripheral details that I won't bore you with, but in a nutshell we've got a choice:

    1. Sit and wait for a while.

Meanwhile Broke pesters JCW for updates of their stock. Then when and if they've got enough, the order is placed and the ball is rolling again.

    2. Go away and do something else.

Broke has kept the funds in his paypal account so refunds can be sorted straight away.

We kinda need to act as a group, cos is one or two drop out, and we don't have a full list we can't realistically expect Broke to place an order 'hoping' more will hop on board at the last minute.

So what would you like to do? Wait a month or two? Or forget about it all and do something else? Please either PM myself or reply below.

look on the bright side - your money is probably safer with Broke than it is with certain financial institutions right now

    Cool.

I've passed on the the other link to Broke, see how he gets on with them.

another minor issue - I've discovered that parcelfarce charge a 'handling fee' for dealing with customs - it turns out they'll pay the VAT & Duty, and then add their own fee of about 13 or so for the privilege [:x]

THere's some info here on Ed38 and also here on the lancer register

Turns out it's legally questionable (something to do with delaying the post), though I've not seen it successfully appealed from a legal point of view (though there's an interesting thead on it on the money supermarket forum)

So if someone's willing to help with the legal fees, I'll try challenging it, otherwise parcelfarce's ransom fee will cost us each about 2-3 at a guess.. [8(]

I'll amend the cost breakdown further up the thread.

If it helps, I'm willing to order and ship any number you'd like, and obviously the shipping gets cheaper with more people absorbing the cost, but I'll do any number if only a few end up wanting to wait.

    Oh yes:clap:

    :)
