How much does he want ? , get a quote from HIM!!

I was just looking at "prepfabs" site they build Escort rally cars etc, they charge 300 to fit a 6 point cage including the foot plate welding (stripped car)

    http://www.prepfab.co.uk/newrollcages.htm

Hope that page hasn't been updated for a while...

Yeh I got a 'rough' ballpark estimate from caged of 300 area (think +vat) for install of 6 point bolt in to MSA regs- assuming it was fairly straight forward.

Extra bars seem to be in the 100-150 a bar area (mostly +vat) for most professional outfits- thats the sort of figure ive been told by a few few co's for harness bar anyway.

Most people say that a bolt in cage can be fitted in a working day, so even if they charge 30 an hour that's at least 240 + vat .

Add money for your add on bits and there you go.

Nick, Julian has recommended me to collect the cage from SD in Newmarket (not far) in person as the last cage he had from them was damaged by Nightfreight.

In my case a damaged cage will be a slight nuisance as it's the only cage for a mk2 Safety Devices have to sell at the mo apparently.

    Thanks for the offer tho[:D]:p

It's now in Belgium so will be a 'few more days' [8(]

Julian from balance is top banana, really helpful and knowledgable, sadly lacking in most establishments these days!

Glad to hear you got the cage from Ju Gary. If you need advice fitting it, remember he fitted my identical cage to my identical golf with identical sunroof!

Ju is away for a couple of weeks as of Wednesday. Good luck at Oulton on Saturday. Last time I was there it was a wash out. Fingers crossed it stays dry for ya.
