The welding on CC ones is a work of art....are you sure you are looking at one fitted by custom cages or a kit they have sold to some numbty to fit?

I will post some pictures of the welding on my dads scirocco and you wont get any better.

You can't actually tack it into situ then weld it either because you need to drop the main hoop down through the floor to weld over the top....this can't be done with the rear stays in place.

Got a quote from them after seeing the advert in Golf+. Ouch though.

Multipoint cage for my Ibiza with the following options:

Rear cross diagonal, harness bars, door bars, rear strut brace, front strut triangulation, front strut brace.

Full Cage CDS Fitted: 1750 +VAT
    Full Cage Clubman 500: 2050 +VAT
    Full Cage T45: 2550 +VAT

    Seat Rails: 380 +VAT (Pair)

    TIG welded.

Far too expensive for me, ill be going to Custom Cages or P&P.

Anyone got an idea how much a custom cage similar to this design would cost, I don't need anything crazy as its just for track days. Rough guidelines would be great. (I'm based in the South if that helps)

Will still be for a G40 by the way.

That looks the same as the Allard cage intertesting. The foot wells are identical and the rear is very close. Its has some history but no one knows exactly what
