Well I've just been on the rollers and got 156bhp atf, but I have no idea what I had before... Less than that anyway!

Hopefully it'll be abit better by the time I've changed the head gasket and put my 4 branch on :)

ECU stays, as that still controls the spark. Anything fuel/air goes :)

It's not a proper ECU, it's just a spark controller. Can't imagine there'd be alot of wiring involved..?

im just in the process of plumbing in megjolt for my 16v on bike carbs, so far its been pretty easy, all wired in using a home made loom witch is made up of megajolt loom/ford edis 4 loom/crank sensor wiring. has been really esay so far, just orderd my trigger heel to mount onto the bottom pulley, thats all thats left really. software looks really easy to use too. ive never done anything like this before but to be honest its quite easy, its cost me about 120 quid for megjolt and all the other parts, il post a howto/report when its up and running in the next few weeks

Oh is that small silver box a bit bigger than a matchbox? My 1.8 carb already has one of those wired in , it should work the same right?

I was wondering how are you giving the brake servo and dizzy a vacuum?

Im currently doing this for an 8v mk1 and its quite a challange making the manifold but im interested to see what sort of gains ill get. I should get the manifold plate back from the machine shop on thursday.

Has anyone else on here done an 8v yet? I know the guy DUBFAB makes and sells the manifolds for 350 Im hoping mine will come in at less than 50.

how many miles to 10 do you get? or what mpg?

I picked up the fuel pump and reg for 60 from someone on here, I would advise using the bike pump though as you cannot go wrong and costs a fraction of what a Facet + Filter King would. Just for reference, my mates Nova you saw has a bike pump I originally bought for mine (but decided against for some reason) that cost me 8...

10 will get me to my mates and back 3-4times if I drive like a grandma so 40-50miles at a push, if I give it full cane it'll get me there and back once, it's about a 14 mile round trip...

My MFA mpg figures average around 5-7, or if I pootle down the motorway playing the great mpg game I can get 15...

It's not the most efficient thing in the world
